Often in blog posts, interviews, or on podcasts I refer to those I use for a variety of web services. Here is brief list of people in the industry I know and trust to do good work.
Lee Dodd: I also get asked often if I do consulting, and I certainly trust myself. I do enjoy doing it as my schedule allows, but I am not cheap. I specialize in forum / community building, monetization, marketing, and general business consulting. I bill at the rate of $500 an hour for my consulting time. I have two specific services that I offer as well:
- Acquisition Consulting: If you are looking to acquire a certain site or business, I will go over it with you and offer my valuation and recommendation. This is a good idea which I have done on numerous occassions for someone new to buying and developing web real estate. The price I charge for this short consultation (typically no more than 30 minutes) is $250.
- Linkbaiting Development: If you are wanting to draft up a plan to drive numerous incoming links and lots of traffic to your site, then I can definitely help you do that. I will basically layout a strategy for you involving what is required to have a successful linkbait campaign for your niche, no matter what niche it is (excluding adult, gambling, and anything illegal). This can drive thousands of visits to your site and dozens of links. The cost for this service is $1,500.
Landing Pages: Tom Fuller (Keeb), someone that has impressed me and a few others in the work he does of designing landing pages. He is the best landing page guy I know. He is very fast and very cost effective. I have known Keeb for over 10 years and he is the best landing page designer in the business. I usually have him do multiple versions so I can test and see which convert best for my offers. You can see an example of the work that he has done for me here for ringtones.
Web Design: I have used Forrest Morgan on two different occassions now and been supremely happy with his design work (he designed this site!). He is fast, communicative, and good at what he does.
PHP Coding: A real life saver for me has been Ken Iovino. I have put this guy to work over the past few months to the tune of hundreds of hours. We is very good, can do a lot of different things, and is honest / hard working. Contact me to get his contact information and I will hook you up!
Web Hosting: I use The Planet and Softlayer for hosting all of my servers.
SEO Services: I you are looking for an individual, then I highly recommend Aaron Wall. If you need a larger company handling that for you, I highly recommend ACS (Advantage Consulting Services).
